aggressive

yesterday i introduced a guy who is thinking of becoming religious to a yeshivist rabbi. This rabbi is one of the warmer and nicer ones so I thought this would be a good move. I was shocked at his aggressiveness. Kid's name was Dan. Rabbi: did you ever read the book of Daniel. What's it about. How did Daniel die? He was grilling him! It was a one way conversation. The kid actually flinched. Day before I introduced a different yeshivist rabbi to a guy who is new to the neighborhood and looking for a shul. Similar response. So aggressive. You live in the house they are building on the corner. I know the contractor. We told him, no he lives in an apartment building. Conversation ended soon after that. It was one way, aggressive, dominating. Both semi-assaults were a little insulting, make you feel stupid or poor. I believe yeshivist rabbis do this in many ways. They confuse on purpose too, they scare. if ever they quote the zohar, it's only to scare. I don't seem them as religous people. They are like Wall St. executives.
