This man has been a girl's stepfather for over 17 years, since she was a baby. Now it’s time for graduation and she chose her absent biological father, who just came back, over him. There's only one ticket available and the teenage girl gave it to the biological father. The stepfather doesn't object to the biological father attending but wants to attend the graduation of the girl he raised and supported. He is being excluded. He calls the mother who condones the exclusion of the stepfather.

What we are seeing here is the Western woman of today. She doesn't so much as get married as find a man who will pay her bills and sire and raise her children. She isn't married to him, isn't joined to him, doesn't love him, doesn't care about him. She enjoys saying the phrase "my husband" to her friends. It's a status. But he isn't really a husband. He's a meal ticket. And now that he raised her daughter, he isn't needed anymore. You'd think that the daughter would feel a warmth towards this man who foolishly raised another man's kid, but she has been raised with the post-feminist contempt for men.
Don't think that this doesn't happen also in the Orthodox Jewish world. It happens with the same frequency as it does in the Gentile world. Many of the young women in the OJ world marry for the same reasons: status, children, and money. The man is a tool for this. The BT women nearly all do this because they were raised in the post-feminist world and are taught in seminary that men are inferior. They wind up hating men even more than the Gentile women do.
