Take a look at YU

If you have had enough with mind compression, take a look at Yeshiva University. The place can be incredibly refreshing. But maybe somebody tried to head that one off at the pass by speaking against the place at a time when you didn't even know what he was talking about. He or she seeded your mind with fear. Do I have it right? Well, toss that out the window and take a look at YU. https://www.yutorah.org  Here are some samples of their openness and appreciation of Chabad, and that's a very good sign.
