Something that doesn't work

Said my coworker to me on the subject of our workplace: It's hard to figure out how something that doesn't work, works. Same can be said for contemporary Judaism. You come in cold to a crazy environment and try to figure out how it works. But in many ways, it doesn't work. So, don't expect to figure it all out and sound like an expert. You'll always carry some confusion or even a lot. Someone else said to me, you can't be passionate about something you don't understand. Many BTs try to be passionate and get into trouble because they don't even know what they are dealing with.
